1. Overview

At NEPSE Portfolio (developed by Ambience Infosys), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your financial and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and safeguard your information when you access our web platform and mobile applications.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to deliver accurate portfolio tracking and quantitative analytics:

  • Account Details: Username, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Portfolio Records: Stock purchase prices (WACC), quantities, transaction dates, and sold history that you manually input or import via Excel/CSV.
  • Usage & Performance Metrics: Technical logs, device type, and page access timestamps to ensure system stability and speed.
  • Mobile App Diagnostics: App interactions, crash reports, performance measurements, device information, and a push-notification token when the Android app is configured with Firebase.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your portfolio data is used exclusively to:

  • Calculate real-time portfolio valuation, sector allocation, and unrealized/realized profit and loss.
  • Provide tailored quantitative Machine Learning signals, risk scans, and price alert notifications.
  • Generate capital gains tax (CGT), broker commissions, and SEBON fee breakdowns for your records.
  • Diagnose crashes, monitor app performance, understand feature usage, and deliver notifications that you enable.

4. Data Privacy & Non-Disclosure

We never sell, rent, or monetize your portfolio data or personal information. Your holdings and transactions are private to your authenticated user account and are never shared with external brokers, advertisers, or third-party marketing services.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use secure HTTP-only cookies and local browser storage strictly for session authentication, theme preferences (light/dark mode), and interface personalization.

6. Service Providers & Retention

The Android app may use Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, and Cloud Messaging. Google processes limited analytics, diagnostics, performance, device, and notification-token data on our behalf. When you interact with the optional AI Financial Copilot, queries and necessary portfolio context may be processed by AI inference providers (such as Groq or Google Gemini) solely to generate real-time conversational analysis. We retain account and portfolio records while your account is active and keep operational logs only as long as reasonably needed for security, reliability, and legal obligations.

7. Security Measures

We employ industry-standard encryption, CSRF protection, secure database parametrization, and hashed credentials to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
